Maintenance & Care (current Series EBC 08/09/F-IV)

Dust on the cooling air trellis or slots of the device housing blocks the airflow cooling the device, which might in consequence overheat the device and/or reduce its de-humidification capacity. Therefore and depending on the condition of the surrounding air all cooling air in- and outlets have to be cleaned regularly with a vacuum cleaner. In particular the filter pad securing the cooling air inlet needs regular control and cleaning or replacement.

Dust from within the showcase is eventually led inside the water bottle of the device, meaning that the bottle, too, should be controlled or cleaned in regular intervals. Also, it is necessary to monitor the water level in the bottle regularly to ensure a continued and undisturbed humidity control.

A general service/inspection is recommended after 15,000-20,000 hours of operation.
